Effective Staff Motivation
My grandmother, when she was owner and CEO of a successful company (having to do with medical supplies for the fields of cryogenics), was, as I understand it, and absolute genius at staff motivation. She kept it simple. If she'd for instance received a call from a client who complimented her administrative assistant on her professionalism, then the my grandmother would present that assistant with a $100 bill at the next staff meeting in front of the other employees to motivate them. Now I think that is effective staff motivation.
Staff motivation is more an art than science, but make no mistake it is incredibly important. Think about what you want from your staff and what that staff consists of, humans with human feelings and needs. Humans are, of course, strange creatures by our very design. In one study I read when I was taking an elective course on management psychology (which included such phenoms as staff motivation), a staff of factory workers were actually affected by changes in lighting,5803 Ugg Bailey Button Grey Boots. The heads of the company brought in light bulbs with dimmer wattageand it was learned that production actually increased but they didn't like. The heads then brought in bulbs of a brighter intensity (than the original bulbs)and the staff cheered and worked harder: production went up just as much. So a good example of staff motivation is manipulation and subtle deceit. But be sure not to overtly trick anyone or cause harm in any way. After many years (decades) of working for and with and "over" teams of employees, I have personally found that rewards work best for motivation. It was almost childish sometimes, but it really did break up the monotony and add a little life into the mix. It actually put a lot of smiles on people's faces and that can never be under estimated. We had make-your-own-sundae days, international food days, and show-and-tell daysyes, just like when we were kids back in school but with adult objects and stories that distracted temporarily, enlightened, humored,cutting off its spinal column, and entertainedgetting us through another week. We also openly encouraged employees to express their own ideas and suggestions and try to foster that type of thinking (learning the jobs each had for a change of pace and for support of whomever was bogged down or behind).
Some ways to destroy staff motivation, which of course is not something you want to teach, but rather be on the lookout to avoid, are those which do the opposite of the above, those whaich are the antithesis of good leadership. I recall having jobs were clueless bosses and administrators could make the workplace they truly miserable place to be (for unsavory political reasons they got into the position in the first place). One leader would hold brainstorming meetings and then say no to every single "idea". Could you imagine that? What's the point?
Another would insist on a project, get everyone working at completing the project/presentation,the hopelessness when someone walks away, then on the day of debut would bring unrelated changes and items and schedules so that only one person looked together and knew what she was doing. The signs, tents, flyers, and fundraising items were all tossed aside as irrelevant and thereby tossed away potential buyers and supporters, too.
This absolutely destroyed morale and to fight the opposite of the wanted affect. Another clueless boss came up with the idea of "working retreats", which we employees made fun but where the leaders would bastardize the concept of "retreat" in the first place. Still, games, fun, open exchanges of ideas and togetherness projects, and the honoring of (by listening to, acknowledging, crediting, and rewarding) individuals wherever possible seems to work in favor of staff motivation.
It sounds like common sense doesn't it? But some bosses and companies just don't get it,"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.". Don't be one of them and your staff motivation will never be a problem.

In India it was still worse ... At the age of 24 I was going through the worst moments of my life.

You might be surprised ,but the answer to all the above three questions is "Yes You can do it". It might take a long time but i want to show you how it is done.....

It was in 1996 when i was in Pittsburgh,USA that i fell terribly ill. All the medicines which the doctors prescribed had failed. I went to every specialist but no one could identify my illness. I had high fever,severe vomiting and my weight was reducing by the day,and jobs.. It was terrible. I was admitted to the hospital at least half a dozen times. No doctor could locate the exact nature of the virus .... I came back to India half dead... My parents got me admitted to one of the best hospitals in Mumbai. However, In India it was still worse ... At the age of 24 I was going through the worst moments of my life.
Then suddenly everything changed for the better.... In walked the No 1 doctor of Mumbai. He was 69 at that time. He smiled at me ... I smiled back with whatever little energy i had.... "We will make you fit in two weeks time..." These were his exact words. Like a master at work ,he calmly went thru my medical history, asked a few questions, examined my body and then prescribed two tests and left...
Late evening the next day the doctor came back again and said "We have identified your illness and your medication will start tomorrow. You will be fine in a weeks time...." Within a week of taking those medicines i was back to normal. I had no fever and vomiting after a week. My parents were happy and i was relieved...
Three months of taking all the medicines prescribed by the world renowned doctors could not cure my illness... Finally the right diagnosis of the disease did the trick.....
What is the lesson for everyone here?
The No 1 lesson I learnt is "Action is the next step after Knowledge". It is not action that is important . . It is not the number of hours you work, or your honest commitment and energy which will help you get the things you really want.All these qualities are of very little use if you are not aware of your deepest intention, your innermost dreams. Like the doctors in my case you will be putting in your best efforts, your total commitment and energy and yet you would not achieve anything that you truly want and will remain unhappy. We pride ourselves for the number of hours we work everyday,Here are some simple steps in using the law of attraction to lose weight, of the focus and commitment we put in our work but we care very little for knowing our deepest and most genuine desires. We do not pay any attention to it. Think about it.When i use the word know, i mean those wants which stir your soul and not your small little selfish interests of seeking money and power....
The first step is in truly knowing. Taking action is simple. Action becomes stressful and frustrating when you do not know ..
You can get anything that you want only when you know what you truly want .
You can get out of any problem in your life if you can get to the root cause of the problem.
If you can go the source of the problem, the originator of destruction, the initial vibrations which forced a man to pick up the knife and murder you, or the snake to sting you or the tsunami to destroy your house,positive or negative, you can alter that decision and seek remedy... The force that that can propel a murderer to drop his knife, or a snake to lower its hood or a tsunami to mellow down is the same force that had enabled the doctor to diagnose the illness properly and cure it. It is only that the intensity of the force has to be much stronger to enable the murderer to drop his knife, or the snake to lower its hood. Your genuine intention and your deepest knowledge of the source of the problem will help you identify the hidden cause of the problem and thus resolve it....
You get only one second to act in all these three cases but if you had complete knowledge of the source of these problems your action might be significantly different and so yield positive results. It might take a decade or more to put these things to practise but the knowledge that you can solve any problem by going to the root cause of the problem remains intact be it diagnosing an illness or in eliminating the motive of a murderer or stopping a snake from biting you.....

Guerlain
Guerlain is one of the most renowned perfume houses in France. The company itself is 175 years old with over 300 fragrances under its label. Guerlain was founded by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain way back in 1828 when he opened his first shop in Rue de Rivoli in Paris. Here his clients could get custom blend fragrances which were Guerlain's unique selling point. Guerlain has famous clients like the Queen of Belgium and in 1953; he earned him a patent of Royal Provider.
After Pierre-Francois-Pascal Guerlain passed away, the fragrance house was inherited by his two sons; Gabriel and Aime. Some of the fragrances credited to Aime were Fleur D'Italie (1884), Skine (1885), Rococo (1887), Excellence (1890), Belle-France (1892), Cipricime, Eau de Cologne du Coq (1894). Aime was also said to be the pioneer in incorporating synthetic materials in his most famous creations, Jicky (1889).
Later on Gabriel's son, Jacques Guerlain made an incredible mark in the perfume industry. His legendary creation was called the Shalimar (1925) which has a very strong influence of the East. When it comes to hair styles, there are so many different options today to make changes. You can change your color, add highlights, add bangs, add layering and even add length or thickness with hair extensions,a way to help you burn several hundreds of calories daily. Makeovers are becoming more and more popular as television shows such as ABC's Extreme Makeover outline how a makeover is done and drastic changes that can be done.
Hair stylist, Gia Wood of Salon D in Dallas, Texas specializes in makeovers and hair extensions and is considered Dallas' makeover specialist. She has hundreds of clients locally and many clients that fly or drive in to Dallas for her services. One of her clients flies all the way from Spain just to get her hair done,if it is made from satin. Gia says, I find that clients who are willing to drive or fly that far just to get their hair done are the biggest compliment and the proof of my success.
So what is this makeover fuss all about? Gia explains that most of her clients have either been the victim of an inexperienced stylist or have simply not thought enough about the change in hairstyle they wanted and they are now stuck with something they hate. Gia adds, Most of my makeovers include color correction, which can be highlights, color, gloss or all of the above. Makeovers also include a haircut and style, along with makeup application. The total process can take around 4 hours to complete.
Gia says, "When dealing with color correction, the first thing every client asks me is '...how damaged will my hair be after a color correction,Therefore?'" Modern day products allow hair stylists to remove 'artificial pigment' only, meaning that it will not open, damage, or split the cuticle of the hair in any way. Is your closet brimming with clothes yet somehow, you still have nothing suitable for the occasion?
Looks like it is time to reorganize your wardrobe.
What you don't see, you probably wouldn't wear. The perfect outfit for the occasion is hiding somewhere in your closet. You just don't see it. You have to clear the clutter before you can find your outfit.
